Also, if you’re sitting at a computer reading this, with the keyboard at roughly eye-level, barely being able to see the screen, then I’ll keep this short (so you can get off your parents’ computer before they come back) – Munich loves you too! There is so much for you to do and here are some ideas:
If it’s fantasy or action you’re into how about the Meerchenwald? – a theme park dedicated to kids! Carousels, roller coasters and rides and lots more! Or maybe you’d prefer to keep your feet on the ground and visit the Deutsches Museum?, you can climb into a replica of the first motorized aircraft built by the Wright brothers, or imagine you’re at the helm of a U1 submarine, or play pirates by the huge replica ship, or even sit inside a giant guitar in the Kid’s kingdom .
If culture is more your thing how a museum dedicated just to kids? At the moment there’s an exhibition about how we talk to each other. At the Jugendmuseum you can chat, call, text, wave, smile at somebody, roll your eyes - there are many ways you can share and learn about how we communicate, including how the world’s languages sound.
Or, want to learn about the toys that your parents used to play with, or even your grandparents all those years ago? You could visit the Spielzeug museum and see carousels, teddy bears, old Barbies and puppets made of wood and porcelain and much more. Perhaps you’d prefer to see real bears, then how about Munich’s zoo? Tierpark Hellabrunn? It’s split into different continents so you can see animals from all over the world; monkeys, wallabies, polar bears, penguins, elephants and giraffes and many many more, or is it just swimming animals that you like? No problem! Just outside Munich is a Sealife where you can get up close and personal to our friends underwater. Unfortunately you can’t join them, but if you did fancy a dip in the water why not go to Michaelibad, Munich’s largest swimming pool with indoor and outdoor pools and slides?
Wait! I know what you’re thinking: what about my parents? Well … don’t worry! You could send them to their hotel room for a nap or, if you need to keep them entertained for a few hours send them here to us at Radius Tours.
We’ll look after them for you, so that you can relax and enjoy your vacation.
